Koval, H| Chopiak, V| Kamyshnyi, capital A, Cyrillic Bukovinian State Medical University, Chernivtsi; Danylo Halytskyi Lviv National Medical University; Zaporizhia State Medical University, Ukraine.| Bukovinian State Medical University, Chernivtsi; Danylo Halytskyi Lviv National Medical University; Zapor Endometriosis is an important medical and social problem as it causes stable pelvic pains, afflicts women of the reproductive age, provokes infertility characterized by poor outcome of treatment. In recent times much attention is paid to the mechanisms of congenital immunity as possible mediators of the development of endometriosis and targets of therapy. The work deals with the investigation of the levels of mRNA TLR2 and TLR4 expression in the tissue of eutopic endometrium in women with endometriosis and infertility in comparison with women afflicted with infertility of a tubular character with the aim to define the role of TLR2 and TLR4 in the development of infertility in case of endometriosis. The study was conducted by means of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) real-time method. The results of the study are indicative of an increased TLR2 and TLR4 expression (especially TLR2) in the endometrium in women with endometriosis. The results obtained may be indicative of an important role of TLR2 and TLR4 in the development of endometrioid ectopia and should be considered while treating infertility in women with endometriosis.
